The Island of Mljet is located in the south of the Adriatic coast in Croatia. This spectacular island is situated south of Pelješac peninsula, divided from it by Mljet channel. It was discovered by ancient Greco-Roman geographers, who wrote the first records and descriptions around the 6th century BC. Today, parts of the island are protected as a National Park, including the western part of the island, the Big Lake, the Small Lake and Soline Bay.
Perhaps the most famous story about the island of Mljet is the legend of Odyssey. There are also tales of Mljet being one of the islands “lost” at sea, not easily reached alone. You will have the opportunity to explore this famous historical spot.

Our biking tour will begin in the National park Mljet. First we will pass by two saltwater lakes, the most visited attractions on the island. It stretches from the city of Ston on the east (famous for its stone walls, second largest in Europe) to the top of the cape Lovište.
Pelješac is a synonym for wine; it is very well known for its vineyards and cellars. The greatest Croatian red wines can be found here: Dingač and Postup (from Plavac mali variety, genetic relative to Zinfandel) which are named after the steep slopes on the southern side of the peninsula.
Our cycling tour begins in the small coastal village of Trstenik, historically significant as the main port for exporting wine. It continues towards the quaint village of Žuljana, all along an attractive seaside road through the vineyards and olive groves with fragrant scents of Mediterranean herbs in the air. After arriving to Žuljana, we’ll cycle to the beautiful bay of Vučine, considered one of the most beautiful beaches in Croatia. It belongs to the central Dalmatian archipelago and is separated from the Pelješac peninsula by a narrow channel. According to a legend, this beautiful island was founded by Trojan hero Antenor in the 12th century BC.
We will have a relaxing lunch followed by exploring the old town of Korčula. Located on a small headland with Venetian architecture, defensive walls and attractive pan tiled roofs, Korčula resembles Dubrovnik.
